Alexandra Bălteanu was born in Romania in 1982. She studied directing at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (DFFB). Her debut feature film, Vânătoare (Prowl), premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival and screened across numerous international festivals, earning her the Best Director award at the 2017 Max Ophüls Film Festival. Alexandra lives and works between Germany and Romania.
